Andrejka Hirschegger Photography
“My first camera was
a hot pink point and shoot at the age of 10. I should have known at that
young age that photography would become more than just a hobby. It has
seemed to follow me through the years; from the high school yearbook staff
to a bachelors degree in art. I always just did it for fun. Years ago I
realized photography meant more to me than that so now it is my true passion
and chosen vocation. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, the excitement
and the love of life inspires me everyday.”
From her hometown in Michigan to her travels abroad, Andrejka has developed
the eye of a skilled photographer by noticing the difference light and
texture can make on the world.
She fell in love
with Mackinac Island’s natural beauty and uniqueness while living there
years ago. It’s Victorian homes and fresh waters were a photographer’s
dream. Since 2001, Andrejka has divided her time between Mackinac and
Santa Barbara, CA where the brilliant colors and exotic gardens also
serve as a daily inspiration.
Andrejka’s work
has been featured in a variety of national and regional magazines,
websites, and marketing ads.
