Diane Neyer
Diane Neyer is a completely self taught artist.
Exposed to art and painting at an early age, she has been working at it , on
and off, for most of her life. Diane is an avid gardener, which
reflects through her colorful use of the flowers and landscapes that are
portrayed in many of her works. She is full of enthusiasm and drive,
as all who know her would agree, and she is constantly striving to improve
and learn different techniques and styles. Adept at oil, watercolor,
and mixed media, she has recently excelled in use of acrylic as her
preferred choice of medium. She has the unique opportunity to both
live and research on Mackinac Island, which gives her an excellent
opportunity to capture a lifetime of memories to be reflected and brought to
life through her brushes. Diane and her husband Ken are part owners of
the Metivier Inn on Mackinac Island where she enjoys her springs, summers
and falls, tending and overseeing the Inn's beautiful flower gardens.
Diane is mother of two children, Jeff and Katie, and when she is not on the
island, she resides in Traverse City, Michigan.
