Helen Sullivan

The artist, Helen Frances Sullivan has studied water
color painting in Vero Beach, Florida where she and her husband spend the
winter months. She summers with her family in Houghton, Michigan.
Helen is the granddaughter of Frank Rounds of Mackinac Island, the General
Contractor/Builder of the Round Island lighthouse (1896). He also
worked on the Grand Hotel Porch and the building that houses Victorian
Summer Gallery. Helen's family memberrs have lived on the Island for
well over 100 years. Her mother Frances Rounds Carter was born on the
Island. Mackinac has always been a place near to Helens heart.
She visits frequently, attends the Rounds Family Reunion on the Island
during the summer, and even spent a summer as a young woman working on the
Island selling fudge.
